  • Plumbing: new pipework, moving the toilet, basin or bath, concealed cisterns and wall-hung frames
  • Electrics: downlights, extractor fan, shaver socket, electric showers, underfloor heating
  • Tanking and waterproofing to showers and wet rooms, with levels and falls checked
  • Shower trays and wet-room formers, including made-to-measure trays for awkward spaces
  • Wall and floor tiling, large format, marble and mosaic

From an accessible wet room to a modern shower room

A house in Faversham had an old wet room designed for a disabled resident. The floor and window position didn’t suit a shower tray, so we broke out and re-levelled the concrete floor to get the levels right, then started again.

What we did

  • Stripped out the old wet room and re-levelled the concrete floor
  • Walk-in shower with a frameless glass screen and marble-effect tiles floor to ceiling
  • Back-to-wall toilet with a concealed cistern and tiled niche
  • Wall-hung vanity, black column radiator and LED downlights
  • Also pictured: our smallest bathroom yet, with a shower tray specially ordered and cut to size

Plumbing, electrics, tiling and finishing all by our own team. The small-bathroom client left us a glowing review.

Questions

Bathrooms: your questions answered

How much does a new bathroom cost?

A family bathroom refit starts from £7,000 + VAT and an en-suite or shower room from £4,500 + VAT, both including plumbing, electrics, tiling and flooring. The suite and tiles you choose and how much pipework moves make the biggest difference.

How long does a bathroom installation take?

Usually 2 to 3 weeks on site for a family bathroom. Wet rooms and rooms where the floor needs rebuilding take a little longer.

Can you fit a shower room in a very small space?

Yes. We’ve fitted a complete shower room where no standard tray would go, by having a tray made to order and cut to size, then planning everything around it.

Can you turn a wet room back into a normal bathroom?

Yes. We’ve done exactly that in Faversham: broke out and re-levelled the wet-room floor, then built a modern shower room with a proper tray and glass screen.

Will I be without a bathroom?

For part of the job, yes. We keep a working toilet available for as long as possible and tell you in advance which days you’ll need to plan around.

Can I supply my own suite and tiles?

Yes. Many clients do. We’ll check what you’ve ordered against the room before we start, and we can recommend suppliers if you’d rather we helped you choose.
