What’s included

Not just fitting the units

Most kitchen jobs go wrong in the gaps between trades: the plumber before the electrician, the tiler before the worktops. We do all of it, so the order is right.

  • Strip-out of the old kitchen, tiles and flooring, and disposal
  • Moving or adding plumbing and waste, gas work by a Gas Safe engineer
  • New electrics: sockets, under-cabinet lighting, downlights, cooker and appliance circuits
  • Plastering and making good, including removing walls to open the room up (with structural steels where needed)
  • Fitting the units, worktops, sink, taps and appliances
  • Splashback tiling and flooring, including LVT, tiles and engineered wood
  • Decorating, skirting and the final clean
  • Supply and fit, or fit only: we regularly fit Howdens, Wickes, IKEA and B&Q kitchens, and will fit kitchens from other suppliers too

What we did

  • Stripped the old kitchen, tiles and flooring back to bare walls
  • New sage green gloss handleless units with wood-effect worktops and upstands
  • Handmade-look tiled splashback and under-cabinet LED lighting
  • LVT flooring through the room, then decorating

One team handled the strip-out, joinery, electrics, tiling and flooring, so nothing waited on another contractor.

Questions

Kitchens: your questions answered

How much does it cost to fit a kitchen?

Fitting a kitchen you’ve already bought starts from £3,500 + VAT, including the plumbing, electrics, tiling, flooring and decorating around it. Supply and fit starts from £9,000 + VAT. The number of units, worktop material and whether services move are what change the price.

How long does a kitchen refit take?

Usually 2 to 4 weeks on site. If a wall comes down or the kitchen moves to another room, allow longer.

Can you fit a kitchen I’ve bought from Howdens, Wickes, IKEA or B&Q?

Yes. Those are the kitchens we fit most often, and we’ll fit kitchens from other suppliers too. We check the delivery against the plan before we start so nothing holds the job up.

Will I be without a kitchen?

For part of the job, yes. We can set up a temporary kitchen with your fridge, kettle, microwave and a sink where possible, and we keep the time without one as short as we can.

Can you take a wall out to make it open plan?

Yes. We check whether the wall is load-bearing, get a structural engineer’s design where needed, fit the steel and make good. Building Control signs it off.

Do you do the flooring and tiling too?

Yes. LVT, tiles and engineered wood flooring, splashbacks and full-height tiling are all done by our own tilers and fitters.
